Art inspires the latest lifestyle concept of Rockwell Land’s Edades Tower and Garden Villas – the first of four towers to rise in the West Block of Rockwell’s exclusive community.
The 50-story project was conceptualized and inspired by National Artist Victorio Edades, known as the father of Modern Philippine Art. This soon-to-rise condominium will embody Edades’ modern take on aesthetics, as well as imbibe the ‘green lifestyle’ led by the National Artist during his later years in Davao.
During a preview of an Edades collection displayed at the project’s model unit in Powerplant Mall recently, Ramon Lerma, consultant of Salcedo Auctions, pointed out the familiar signature of the National Artist that will be imbibed by the exclusive community.
“The touches of green living that will be promoted by the Edades Tower and Garden Villas, mirror the kind of lifestyle enjoyed by Victorio Edades as a resident of Davao. The artist had a fondness for greenery, as seen in many of his artworks. He was in fact, an horticulturist,” he said.
The green lifestyle will be reflected on the limited number of units that will include the garden villas and garden lofts. Z-lofts offer two different views of the cityscape from the unit.
The garden villas will showcase a landscaped cluster of premier loft apartments that add character to the residential tower. These homes are shown as separate, townhouse-like structures located within the Edades property. The garden lofts on the other hand, located within the residential tower, are top-of-the-line units that open to a lavish garden deck.
Units come in studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom (132 sqm for the two-bedroom flat), three-bedroom garden Z-loft (lower part is 124 sqm) and three-bedroom loft (lower level is 161 sqm).
The proposed interiors as seen in the model unit designed by premier interior expert Guillermo Valdez, will showcase an urban lifestyle that connotes a taste for subtle luxury and elegance. The unit layout, when designed, can be expressed with various design elements. The model unit is laid out to showcase a modern combination of colors which complemented the artworks of Victorio Edades. In the dining area for example, the combination of red and blue made for a sophisticated and cosmopolitan touch. Edades’ painting titled ‘UST Botanical Garden’ blended well with the space, while his artwork, Sunburst, harmonized the color scheme of the living area.
Adding luxury to the Edades lifestyle is a full range of amenities and modern conveniences that will be set-up for future residents. There will be a fully-equipped and state-of-the art gym for health buffs, and a café for those who enjoy quiet time.
There will also be a business center for those who need a workspace near the residential area, which is equipped with the latest technology to help one stay connected. Amenities on the third level will also include a lap pool, function rooms, and landscaped pocket gardens.
The Edades Tower and Garden Villas will have an exclusive tunnel access to the Power Plant Mall.
The new Rockwell project will also have a central piazza to house exquisite dining establishments, which will serve as another focal point for residents and the rest of the Rockwell Community.
The project will have a total of 8,427 sqm of luxurious space with 30 garden villas, and 584 units for the condominium units.
The Edades collection showcased in the model unit will be auctioned on July 15 at the Glass House of Rockwell Center. The activity will be headed by Salcedo Auctions, the country’s first and only auction house for classic and modern works of art.
